This week I was inspired by several things — ridiculously cute anime, ridiculously violent anime, super happy fuzzy cutie ferrets, and of course, Tumblr. Originally I wanted anime girl here to get so excited that she shot through the wall, leaving only a cartoony, person-shaped hole. But I was looking at the rough and realized, oh my god, this comic is actually cute. It could be suitable for very small children, even. Disgusted with myself, I immediately scrapped the sketch of the last panel in favor of something more depraved and uncomfortable. I also hope that I maintained a somewhat accurate representation of anime/manga stylings, because it wasn’t nearly as easy as I thought it would be. Anime artists and animators get my respect!
I’m pretty sure everybody on the internet knows this by now, but in case my mom is reading: “kawaii” is the japanese word for cute. Rob loathes the word, so you should write him some extremely kawaii pokemon fan fiction.

I got myself one of those fancy Tumblr’s if you want to follow me on it. I post lots of pictures and weird drawings. I’m also pretty active on twitter these days. The need to follow people/have more followers is starting to slowly become a “thing” and I am already looking forward to my twitter intervention party.
Animating at the studio is getting insanely busy, so updates in the future may not be fantastically frequent. We’ll see! Oh, thanks everybody for buying Mall Monkeys CDs! They’re still selling which is more than anyone could have ever guessed.

Can you give me an example of kasakoso in a sentence? I know it’s a 「と」 particle adverb but as an onomatopoeic sound that’s not what I think it means. I could be wrong though, either way I wanna know for future reference.
If someone were to say “Holy shit that is a lot” wouldn’t they just use simple Japanese? 「いっぱいある！！たくさんある！！」
I always thought kasakoso is usually the sound of rustling, even then there’s better words to use for such actions.

I cannot claim I’m fluent or that it’s being used correctly in this strip. “Holy shit that’s a lot!” was liberal like i said, more natural sounding. I interpreted it is “bulk/many” with emphasis X2
On the website I looked at it was described as “rumbling”… rustling is a little too soft for what I was going for…. Oh well, too lazy to go back and fix it.
Interesting! I always relate こそ to what was linked there “~and nothing else” so seeing it with half an onomatopoeic word was quit confusing.

A friend sent me the link to this comic, and I love the artistic interpretation of Elmer, my ferret – especially the swimming shot. I got a good laugh out of the strip too.
But now I’m gonna go sit in a corner and cry over the fact that my glorious, world-famous hands have been switched out for Caucasian hands. Lol.
Oh man, now I feel like crap. Certainly wasn’t a conscious decision. I thought you were white! Your hand looks vaguely white anyway….sort of….awe fuck. I need to do a comic with black people in it ASAP.
Haha, I’m actually not black either; I’m Indian. But seriously, it’s all good! It’s hard to tell from low-res gifs anyway.
(But if you do happen to do a comic about Indian people, I’ll probably get a kick out of that too.)

Well, I learned something new – never heard of kawaii before. I really enjoyed the style and exploration this week, and of course the gore.
The last panel instantly made me think of JoeCartoon. Damn, I used to love those things.

Suitable for very small children??? Thank gawd your consciousness kicked back in. Things like that could make you lose like 80% of your fan base… that’s like 5 people! Haha
Anyway, didn’t know the existence of kawaii until this very same moment. Not that it makes my life better in any way, but its nice to learn a thing or two everyday.
Happy to spread the teachings of hatefarm, I guess. I still feel bad about the whole cuteness thing so next week’s comic is just going to be miserable and depressing to make up for it!

Also, this is the first time I am commenting, which sucks because I’ve been reading since the pillsburied comic and have read each comic at least 4 times. Me and some friends were gonna start our own (sort of) comic on tumblr, and I guess they’re waiting for me to make the first comic before they join in, but you can bet that whatever I make will have been inspired by this comic and it’s lovely drawing style.

This is pretty much every woman I work with. I…wait… is she sans-pants or is that floppy bit about her ankle in panel five tan tightpants? Or loosened explosion flesh? All of these things are possibly real.
I think I just became hardcore. I have a pet rabbit who likes to roll onto his back and brag about how soft n’ fluffy he is, but I still have a solid physical form.
She is definitely wearing tan colored pants, but if it heightens the experience at all, please feel free to use your imagination. If your imagination is capable of turning me into a handsome, witty and funny comic creator, please roll with your imagination even further.

Well, I would tend to think that, if the comic had at least one more panel, it would be very appropriate to show the cat nibbling on the gal’s remains.

It’s a really violent (and perverted) anime about this alien girl who has the power to kill and make people’s heads explode. Literally!! The beginning of the first episode was kinda scary. O.O
